The year-round population on Cliff Island is very small. In the summer, however, there is an influx of tourists and summer residents. This is why many of the houses on Cliff are empty throughout the winter season. This collage demonstrates the character and diversity of houses found on Cliff. Year-round houses are often shrouded in lobster traps and bouys, reflecting the vital lobstering-based economy. Almost every islander knows who lives where, as well as the unique history of each house. For this reason, there prevails a sense of individuality as each house demonstrates, as well as a tightly knit community. | ||||
