Cliff Island
has a wealth of organizations and community-sponsored activities, particularly
during the summer months when the island population more than doubles in size
with the addition of summer residents. In addition to the local K-5 school,
the community library, general store, historical society and post office, Cliff
also has many different clubs and groups that bring the community together.
The Cliff Island Association (CIA) and Athletics, Community, Environment (ACE)
are the two major committees responsible for the planning and organization of
the various activities, which include such things as summer softball and tennis
leagues, suppers, dances, arts and crafts, knitting circles, teen club, 4th
of July festivities and more.
Cliff Island
is a great place to play outside, and many residents enjoy swimming, recreational
boating, and water skiing in the summer months. There are a few hills for sledding
during the winter and there are a number of small trails all around the island. |
