7/16/97... Charlie Thomson passed away this afternoon. He and Dot have been living in Byfield year-round since selling the Island house, there will be a private funeral.

5/8/97... Dave Thompson is in The hospital after a fall down his stairs. He was not seriously hurt by the fall, but has been admitted.

On December 4, 1996, Diane and I became Grandparents for the first time. "Xoe Serena" is our beautiful grandaughter. She and her parents, Stevan Jr. and Lucinda are moving to Portland during May, so we hope to see a lot of them on Cliff over the summer. 3/11/97... 1/18/96... Mike O'Reilly passed away on Saturday afternoon.
A Memorial Service is being held on Saturday, January 25, at 11:00 a.m. at the Peoples United Methodist Church, 310 Broadway, South Portland. The service will be followed by a Fish Chowder Lunch at the Centerboard Yacht Club, 271 Front Street, South Portland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cliff Island Stone Library Children's Room, PO Box 17, Cliff Island ME 04019.

1/11/96... Ivy and Shavis went to town this morning to visit their new grandson, Dylan James Griffin, born yesterday around 4 pm to Karen and Jamie. Dylan weighed in at 8 lb 6 oz.
1/1/96... Linda Wooley and George Smith were marriedRoger Berle officiated over the wedding of Linda Woolley and George Smith on Jan. 1 at the Mariner's Church in the Old Port.
11/17/96... A baby girl was born to Marshall and Susan Champagne-McGregor . Don't know the name yet.
10/22/96... Allan Bringolf collapsed just after noon today and could not be resuscitated. The money Eleanor collects in Al's memory will be donated to the Volunteer Fire Dept
10/19/96... Walter Steere passed away a few days ago.
Just received some email from Lisa Olson announcing that she and Scott MacLean are planning to get married in June of '97. Congratulations!
9/14/96... Mike is still in the hospital, Priscilla is due home this week
9/8/96... Taite Bryar was born to Mike and Angela O'Reilly. Jane is now a grandmother & Mike and Louise have another greatgrandchild
9/7/96... Marion came home today.
8/29/96... Norman and Mary are grandparents once again, Molly gave birth to Cornelia Channing (Nina) at around 1 am on August 29
9/1/96... Updates: 8/22/96... Marion Burgess was taken to Maine Med after a fall down her stairs. She suffered a cracked pelvis and stayed in the hospital through the weekend and was then transfered to the rehab center across the street. No word on how long she will be there.
7/6/96... Dave and Cheryl were married in the Church with a dance in the evening at the hall for the whole Island.
6/15/96... Rose Bernstein passed away at Maine Medical Center, Saturday morning
6/14/96...Frank Pitkin passed away this morning.
He was found collapsed in his front yard.
5/29/96...Rose was taken to the hopital over the weekend. No word on when she will return.

5/1/96... More signs of spring: Ridley-Tree's showed up today for a few weeks.
5/1/96... Bud made it back yesterday although he has to go back to get Shirley next week. He's been furiously getting water turned on today.

4/25/96... Barbara Smith (Mrs Preston) passed away on Thursday evening after an extended stay in a Haverhill, Mass hospital. Money collected in her memory will be donated to the Memorial Fund.

3/10/96... Priscilla has recovered enough from her broken hip and wrist to return home tomarrow.

3/10/96... Julie Gess appeared on the noon boat today. A week or so ago she was in Key West, guess she had to make sure there was a difference in the weather from one end of the east coast to another.

3/6/96... Betty Bringolf passed away last night.

There will be no funeral service but a memorial service will be held on the Island later this spring or summer. Money is being collected at the Post Office, in Betty's memory and will be donated to the Cliff Island Volunteer Fire Department.

On Thursday Betty Bringolf had to be taken to the hospital

Ben has been in the hospital for the last few day with pneumonia
He came back today (3/3/96) Hopefully Priscilla wont be far behind.

Eleanor's birthday was celibrated with a surprise cake and banners when she opened the curtain after sorting the mail.
