| Drainage trench, to drain under the slab and it will also carry a water line that will end in a faucet at the corner so Eleanor won't have to carry water in buckets from the firebarn when she waters the flowers around the flag pole.

| Preparing the area before pouring the slab, involved a good deal of ledge removal before we could put down a layer of crushed stone then sand. Over the sand is a layer of poly as a vapor barrier then 2" of foam, steel reinforcing mesh and lastly piping which will be part of the heating system. This picture shows the pipe being tied to the 6x6 steel mesh.

| Gary mixing cement, Bruce and Mark (back to) worked on speading the mixed cement. A total of 35 bags of Portland cement was used in the slab.
